Frank Lieto Named Monroe Town Attorney
Lieto resigned from the Town Council in order to take the position.
MONROE, CT — Town Council Chair Frank Lieto has resigned from his position so he can serve as the town attorney.
The town's charter prevents Town Council members from serving the town for-profit during their term and for a year after, according to the Monroe Sun. Lieto stepped down from the council and will serve as town attorney for no charge for the first year.
Previous Town Attorney Jeremy Hayden suddenly passed away earlier this year.
