Freezing Temps and Snow Will Hit Monroe Tuesday and Wednesday

Freezing temperatures will hit our area on Tuesday night and Wednesday with strong wind gusts and a chance of snow. Below is a detailed forecast from the National Weather Service in Upton, New York.

• Tuesday - Snow likely, mainly between noon and 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 22. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. West wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
• Tuesday Night - A slight chance of snow showers before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. West wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Wednesday - A chance of snow showers after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 22. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Blustery, with a northwest wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Wednesday Night - A slight chance of snow showers before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 0. Northwest wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Thursday - Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 17.
• Thursday Night - A chance of snow showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Friday - Partly sunny, with a high near 27.
• Friday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 14.
