Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day Set For Monroe Residents
Bring your insecticides, lighter fluids, swimming pool chemicals, oven cleaners, airplane glue, moth balls, septic tank degreasers...
MONROE, CT — In collaboration with the towns of Trumbull and Easton, Monroe residents are welcome to dispose of household hazardous waste during a regional drive-through collection day on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Location: 307 Indian Ledge Park Drive, Trumbull (next to the BMX Facility.)
Transport Materials Safely
Follow these tips and transport the hazardous waste materials safely for proper disposal:

- Bring materials in original containers securely closed.
- Pack containers in sturdy upright boxes and pad with newspaper, if necessary.
- Never mix chemicals together!
- Never smoke or eat while handling hazardous materials.
- Leaking or broken containers must be contained.
- Do not leave vehicles unless instructed to do so.
