Improve Your Bridge Game

Don't want "dummy" to be your best position at the table? Learn modern bridge tactics on Monday mornings.

Newtown Bridge Club will host a new session of lessons for players who would like to improve their bridge game on Mondays from 9:30 to noon beginning January 26 at the Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Station, 34 Hawleyville Road (Route 25), Newtown CT.

Easybridge!2 is a weekly series of short lessons in modern bridge tactics followed by play in an instructional game. An experienced teacher will help you diagnose problem areas and guide you to becoming a more effective and sought-after partner. Players are welcome to bring friends and partners or come alone. The cost is $12 per lesson ($9 for Newtown Bridge Club members); an optional book is available for $15.

For more information, visit www.newtownbridge.org. To register, contact the club manager Susan Fronapfel at director@newtownbridge.org or 203-733-8525.

Newtown Bridge Club is affiliated with the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL). The club holds four ACBL-sanctioned duplicate bridge games each week open to all players: Mondays at 1 pm, Tuesdays at 10 am and 7 pm and Wednesdays at 10 am. Games are played at the Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Station, 0.3 mile north of I-84 exit 9.
