It's Girl Scout Cookie Time!
Exciting updates include gluten-free cookie; Digital Cookie 1.0

It’s that time again! Girl Scouts throughout Connecticut are taking orders for everyone’s favorite cookies!
The largest girl-led business in the world, the Cookie Program is a large part of the Girl Scout experience. There’s something amazing inside every box of Girl Scout Cookies – whether it’s the confidence a girl gains from asking people to support her, or how she gains life skills through learning how to manage people and money. By purchasing a box of cookies, supporters are helping girls learn Five Skills: goal setting, money management, business ethics, people skills, and decision making.
This year, there are exciting new “pieces” of the Cookie Program to celebrate. This Girl Scout Cookie season, hungry shoppers will be able to purchase cookies where they never could before—online! Girl Scouts in Connecticut will have the opportunity to participate in Digital Cookie, a first-of-its-kind web platform that lets girls sell cookies from their own protected, personalized websites.

In today’s fast-paced online world, Digital Cookie represents the next evolution of the iconic Girl Scout Cookie Program, adding a digital layer that broadens and strengthens the Five Skills girl learn, while introducing modern elements like website customization and e-commerce. A majority of the 112 local Girl Scout councils nationwide are participating in Digital Cookie in the 2014–2015 cookie season, with additional councils expected to be on board by the end of 2015, using an updated version 2.0.
Digital Cookie strengthens, expands, and enhances the Girl Scout Cookie Program by combining the values and lessons of door-to-door and booth sales with crucial 21st century business and entrepreneurial skills, continuing Girl Scouts’ long tradition of preparing today’s girls to be the female leaders of tomorrow!

The proceeds from Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s Cookie Program stay in Connecticut and directly benefit all of the Girl Scouts in Connecticut, including the Girl Scout troop or group from which the cookies were purchased.
The popular Cookies for Heroes program returns. Last year, more than 138,000 boxes were sent to our service women and men and local heroes, and this year, we want to send even more! The Cookies for Heroes service project allows customers to support their local Girl Scout and our heroes. Girl Scouts of Connecticut, along with community partners, will deliver the cookies to service women and men overseas and at home.
