Family in government: No.

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

As the current Chairman of Town Council my foremost priority is to control municipal taxes and spending. In order for Monroe to remain competitive with our surrounding communities, the Town Council and First Selectman must continue to present fiscally responsible budgets that wisely invest in our infrastructure and community while limiting the tax burden on families, residents, and businesses. Finding this critical balance will determine the future success of our community. Driving private economic investment in Monroe is the key to sustaining Monroe’s excellent schools and tremendous town-wide programs and services. I will continue to work with First Selectman Ken Kellogg and across all boards, commissions, and the Town Council to ensure that Monroe remains a wonderful community dedicated to fiscal discipline, appropriate investments in our roads and infrastructure, and and forward-thinking decisions on capital projects.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

The difference between me and the other candidates seeking a place on the Town Council is that I bring important experience as the current Chairman of the Town Council while being a young professional with new and innovative ideas. Monroe needs to continue to make our community an attractive place to start and grow a business. With new economic opportunities and Monroe can continue to thrive.

Accomplishments:

Over the last two years as a member of the Town Council, the Republican controlled Town Council and First Selectman Ken Kellogg have passed fiscally responsible municipal budgets that wisely invested in our community while controlling taxes. If I am re-elected, along with the entire Republican team, and we will continue to fight for fiscally conservative budgets that appropriately invest in our town's roads and services.

Other issues:

This campaign is about building on the successes Monroe has achieved over the past four years. As Chairman of the Town Council, I look forward to working with First Selectman Ken Kellogg and the entire Republican team and build upon those many successes if re-elected. I will continue to work for improved services and efficiencies in town hall, responsible investment in the Town's roads, and and promoting economic development in Town.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

As the COVID-19 pandemic raged throughout our state, country, and world, Monroe remained dedicated to protecting the health of each of its residents while allowing our businesses to do what they do best, care about their customers and provide excellent services and products. Vote for Ken Kellogg and the entire Republican team on November 2, and 2021 and support the great accomplishments of the last two years.
