Man Faces DUI in Monroe After Reportedly Crashing Into Tree
Police say the man was traveling unreasonably fast.

A Trumbull man is facing a DUI charge after he was involved in a single motor vehicle crash in Monroe on Thursday.
According to police, Jared P. Koenig, 25 was traveling unreasonably fast when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The crash occurred in the 300 block of Stanley Road just before midnight.
He was not injured, police said. Stepney FD responded to clean fluid spilled from the vehicle.

Koenig admitted to having a few drinks, police said.
According to police, he failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to drive in the proper lane.
