Masuk Freshman Girls Soccer Remains Undefeated After Tying Pomperaug

The Panthers are 4-0-1 and play Monday at Shelton High School.

The Masuk freshman girls soccer team traveled to Southbury last Thursday to play Pomperaug for a well awaited match. Although it was a cloudy, muddy day, the girls still played with their all. The field which was long and narrow didn't exactly suit the style of soccer for the Panthers, but Colby Benedict still managed to finish a nice goal in the first half.

Unfortunately, in the second half, there was a questionable call, which led to a penalty kick which led to a goal for Pomperaug.

For the rest of the game, the fans, the coaches and everyone else on the sidelines were on the edge of their seats. The possession went back and forth but no one was able to finish it off. The final result was a 1-1 tie.
