Monroe BOE Had Prior Concerns About Superintendent: Report
The superintendent and interim finance director have been placed on leave amid an investigation.
MONROE, CT — The evaluation for Superintendent Jack Zamary showed that Board of Education members had some prior concerns over his involvement in the school budget. The documents were obtained by the Connecticut Post via a Freedom of Information Act request.
The board wrote in November that it had growing concerns over his leadership of the district. His May evaluation showed positive comments about new hires in the school district and the teacher evaluation process. A budget shortfall in the special education account was mentioned on multiple occasions.
Zamary and interim Finance Director Frank Connolly were placed on leave amid an investigation.
