Monroe Budget Passes on Third Try

The revised budget proposal was finally accepted by voters.

Monroe voters passed the 2015-16 budget on May 12.

The revised $84.05 million budget passed by 378 votes, according to information posted on the Town of Monroe Facebook page.

The budget represents a 2.5 percent increase from the current year, according to the Monroe Courier. 3,167 of the town’s 11,669 registered voters turned out for the vote.
