Monroe Candidate Profile: Frank Lieto For Town Council
Lieto shares with Patch why he should be elected to the Town Council.

MONROE, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Monroe and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office. First Selectman Ken Kellogg will face no challenger, but the races for town council and other offices are contested.
Monroe Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.
Frank Lieto is running for Town Council as a Republican. He has been an attorney for 18 years. He is an incumbent for his position and has also served on the Economic Development and Parks and Recreation commissions.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates
seeking this post?
As a lifelong resident of Monroe and incumbent Town Council Chairman, I have led a strong Town Council who has worked seamlessly with our First Selectman to keep taxes down while ensuring that we provide our residents with essential services, public safety and infrastructure necessary to continue to make this Town one I am proud to raise my family in.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle
this job?
An experienced attorney and Town Council member, I am humbled to have been unanimously elected to preside over this Council as its Chairman for the past 4 years, overseeing every one
if our many accomplishments during my tenure.
The best advice ever shared with me was ...
Failure is less frightening than regret.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am avid community volunteer serving on the Board of Directors on local non-profit companies, including, Monroe Baseball and Softball, Monroe First Foundation and Fighting Angels Foundation.
