Experience: Monroe Inland Wetlands Commission

Family in government: no

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Zoning enforcement - I intend to use my position on the Planning and Zoning commission to get the town to make mandatory enforcement for all zoning violations and remediation a core policy and provide staff to adequately perform inspections and issue notices of violation.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I want to see responsible and climate-forward development without losing the rural heritage of the town of Monroe

Accomplishments:

Serving on the Inland Wetlands Commission since January 2020 and 40 year business career in process and project development and management

Other issues:

Responsible development for sustainable economic growth while preserving open space and wetlands Equal opportunity for all applicants Developing zoning regulations that support future climate change conditions Increased transparency in P&Z processes

What else would you like voters to know about you?

Monroe has limited business and industrial space for new development so we need to focus our efforts on redevelopment of the existing commercial spaces to bring in new businesses to Monroe to reduce the tax burden on residential property owners Land use that preserves our open spaces and wetlands will allow Monroe residents to continue to enjoy the benefits of our rural and agricultural heritage.
