I have over 35 years of executive corporate experience in both private and public companies and have served the Town of Monroe as a past member of Town Council, the first Chairman of our new Board of Health that re-established a Monroe Health Department, and served on Emergency Medical Services as past Chairman of the Commission as well as volunteering as an EMT. In addition, I served on several building committees and strategic planning committees and was the Town Council liaison to the Board of Education. I am both a past and current president of Monroe Rotary. I am married to Veronica Condon and have three children who have all gone through the Monroe School system (Ryan, Shannon and Kerry). My parents were teachers and school administrators so I understand the challenges that arise in public school administration.
Our Board of Education has an overarching responsibility to stay focused on delivering a high performing public school system for all our students, while recognizing that this must be done at a cost to taxpayers that is reasonable and responsible. I believe this is our biggest issue facing the Board of Education: Continuing to improve our financial management with the challenges of increased enrollment and the impacts of the pandemic. My goal on the Board of Education will be to serve and represent all of the families of Monroe – those with children in our school district as well as taxpayers who are footing the bill. I will work extremely hard to keep the cost to taxpayers down while providing the safest and best education opportunities for all of our students.
Experience: Monroe Town Council
Family in government: Yes my son Ryan Condon is currently serving the Town of Monroe on Planning and Zoning
