
A Monroe gas station was robbed over the weekend.
According to police, the incident was reported on Sept. 6 around 12:30 a.m. Police responded to the Buck Stop gas station and convenience store located on Route 25.
The night manager at the store told police a male wearing dark pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and mask covering his whole face, entered Buck Stop. The male then placed a plastic bag on the counter and told the night manager to fill it with cash. The night manager placed an undetermined amount of cash from the register into the plastic bag.

According to police, the male ran out of the store with the cash in a southerly direction. No vehicle was observed and the night manager was unable observed the race, age or hair color of the robber.
A police K9 dog tracked a scent from the front door of Buck Stop, across Route 25 and ended in the parking lot across Route 25, south of Route 59. Monroe Police Detectives are viewing video from within Buck Stop and area business in an effort to indentify the robber.
