Monroe Man Found Asleep at Wheel Facing DUI Charge
The man reportedly parked diagonally in the lot in front of Chucks Corner Shopping Center.

A Monroe man is facing a DUI charge after police say he was found sleeping at the wheel with the engine running.
Police received a report on Sunday that a gray Jeep struck an object off the right side of the roadway and then parked in the lot in front of Chucks Corner Shopping Center located at 150 Route 25.
Officers found the gray Jeep parked diagonally in the parking lot with 39-year-old Daniel Henion slumped over the steering wheel sleeping while the engine was still running, police said. Officers woke Henion and could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on him.

Henion failed standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested, police said. He was charged with operating under the influence.
Henion submitted to a breath test which revealed that his BAC to be .255.
