Monroe Maple Syrup Seducer Turns Down Plea Deal
The landscaper was accused of refusing to delete a video he made of a sexual encounter he had with a married co-worker.
MONROE, CT — The Monroe landscaper who had blueberry jam and maple syrup-laden sex with a married woman while on the job last November turned down a plea bargain on Friday.
Robert Somley had been charged with voyeurism with malice, a felony, according to court documents. His colleague joined Somley after she spied him dribbling maple syrup onto his naked body while watching pornography, according to police. She accused him of refusing to delete a video he made of their tryst.
The landscaper was jailed the following week for witness tampering after he allegedly called his paramour and threatened to go public with her name unless she dropped the case. Following further investigations by police, Somley was charged with possession of an unregistered assault weapon and large capacity magazines.
