Monroe PD Investigating Series of Overnight Vehicle Burglaries
This is the latest in a series of reports of overnight car burglaries that have been plaguing the area.

MONROE, CT -- The Monroe Police Department is investigating multiple motor vehicle burglaries Wednesday morning on the Southeast side of town.
The department took to social media to warn that "Suspects are targeting unlocked vehicles and have also stolen vehicles with the keys left in them in residential neighborhoods."
This is the latest in a series of reports of overnight car burglaries. The Wilton PD issued a similar warning on Tuesday, following the theft of a handgun, cash and other items.

Police are asking residents to take all valuables out of their vehicles and lock them, even when parked at their homes or in their driveway.
Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or may have caught any suspicious activity on their security systems during the overnight hours is asked to contact the Monroe Police Department at 203-261-3622.
