Monroe Police Nab 2 More Suspects In Rite-Aid Robbery Case
Monroe Police have charged two more people in connection with a robbery at the Rite Aid pharmacy at 508 Monroe Turnpike last summer.

MONROE, CT — Police have charged two more people in connection with a robbery at the Rite Aid pharmacy at 508 Monroe Turnpike last summer.
Four men wearing ski masks robbed the pharmacy during daylight hours on July 13, triggering an investigation.
The inquiry resulted in an arrest warrant issued for Jason Wade, 21, last known to live on Madison Street in Brooklyn, NY. Wade turned himself into the Monroe Police Department on March 7.

Another suspect, Bahkeem Cooke, 22, with a last known address of Lefferts Place in Brooklyn, NY, was taken into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal Service Violent Fugitive Task Force. He is currently being held in New York and awaiting extradition.
The Monroe Police department arrested a third suspect, Ishmael Henry, 25, last known to live on MacDougal Street in Brooklyn, NY, last month.

The three men were part of a crew that ordered Rite Aid employees to open the safe where the pharmacy kept the narcotics, emptied its contents and exited the store, according to police.
Thousands of pills and various narcotics were stolen, according to police. There were no weapons used in the heist, and no one was injured.
Witnesses reported that four men got into a dark-colored sedan with NY registration plates and left the parking lot, heading north on Monroe Turnpike. Following an extensive investigation, Monroe Police Detectives were able to identify the vehicle used in the robbery, according to Lieutenant Michael Sweeney.
Wade was charged with second degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree larceny, first-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, and second degree criminal liability for the acts of another/threatening. He was held on a $150,000 bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on March 7.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for Cooke with the same charges as Wade.
