One Arrest Made In Last Summer's Rite-Aid Heist: Monroe PD
Police have made one arrest in their investigation of a July robbery at the Rite Aid pharmacy on Monroe Turnpike.
MONROE, CT — Police have made one arrest in their investigation of a robbery at the Rite Aid pharmacy at 508 Monroe Turnpike last summer.
Four men wearing ski masks robbed the pharmacy during daylight hours on July 13, triggering an extensive investigation.
The Monroe Police department arrested Ishmael Henry, 25, last known to live on MacDougal Street in Brooklyn, NY, on Tuesday.

Henry was part of a crew that ordered Rite Aid employees to open the safe where the pharmacy kept the narcotics, emptied its contents and exited the store, according to police.
Thousands of pills and various narcotics were stolen, according to police. There were no weapons used in the heist, and no one was injured.

Witnesses reported the four men got into a dark-colored sedan with NY registration plates and left the parking lot, heading north on Monroe Turnpike. An initial investigation by the Monroe Police Department was unable to track down the car.
Further investigation turned up the identification of suspects and the subsequent arrest of Henry, the Monroe Police Department announced Tuesday. An arrest warrant was issued for Henry, who was arrested on unrelated charges in New York. Henry waived his extradition and was taken into custody by the Monroe Police Department.
Police charged Henry with second-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree larceny, first-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, and second-degree threatening.
Henry was held on a $150,000 Bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on Feb. 22.
