When Will the Snow, Ice and Freezing Temps Let Up?

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area through 6 p.m. Monday evening. Significant icing could occur due to freezing temperatures. Sleet and freezing rain will change back to snow this afternoon. Wind gusts are going to be between 5 to 25 miles per hour.

Below is a detailed forecast from the National Weather Service.

• This Afternoon - Snow and freezing rain before 4pm, then a chance of snow. High near 23. Wind chill values between zero and 10. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.3 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
• Tonight - A chance of snow, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 4. Wind chill values between -10 and zero. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Tuesday - Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 18. Wind chill values between -10 and zero. Northwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
• Tuesday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 12. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Wednesday - A slight chance of snow showers after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Wednesday Night - A chance of snow showers, mainly after 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Thursday - A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 1.
• Friday - Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 18.
• Friday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 7.
• Saturday - Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29.
• Saturday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13.
• Sunday - Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23.
