Monroe's Minds in Motion event registration extended through February 23
Children's enrichment activities with exciting, fast-paced workshops in science, creative and performing arts and program for parents too.

On Saturday, February 28, Masuk High School will host Monroe Minds in Motion™. Co-presented by Monroe Organized Voters for Education (MOVE) and Connecticut Association for the Gifted (CAG) this event is a fun-filled learning adventure for children from Kindergarten through Grade 8 and their parents. Children can choose from over 25 different workshops including ‘Adventures in Archaeology’, by Webb Mountain Discovery Zone of Monroe, ‘The Wonders of Electricity!’ by Stepping Stones Museum of Norwalk, ‘The Magic of Science’, by Talcott Mountain Science Center of Avon, ‘Introduction to Acting’ by Two Planks Theatre of Monroe and much more. At no additional cost, adult workshops are offered that provide strategies to enhance learning, promote creativity and resilience, and help raise asset-strong youth. This year’s parent keynote address features Katie Haydon of Sparktivity who will deliver a presentation entitled ‘Support Your Child’s Creative Thinking‘.
