Music for Youth presents Donald Sinta Saxophone Quartet
This internationally renowned quartet adopted Sinta's name in 2010 because they embody his mission embracing classical and new repertoire

First Prize Winner of the 2013 Concert Artist Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition. Named for their teacher and mentor the great saxophonist Donald Sinta, an influential saxophone teacher, the Donald Sinta Quartet from Ann Arbor is making waves in the musical world with their incredible performances of both classical and new repertoire.
This internationally renowned quartet adopted Sinta’s name in 2010 because they embody his mission—embracing classic repertoire while championing audacious new works and educating the next generation of players. Under Sinta’s guiding spirit, they have already chalked up concert engagements in China, France, Greece, and Scotland, all while actively commissioning new works that suit their protean technique and gifted artistic sensibilities. They have earned praise from audiences and critics alike for their committed performances, recordings, and distinctive repertoire. In addition to performing, all members maintain private teaching studios and have given master classes around the country.
The concert in November is FREE for families with children. Adults without children are asked to make a goodwill donation which helps sustain future programs. No tickets or registration is required. To take advantage of their teaching skills, sign up for the master class for advanced woodwind students. To register for the free POST-concert master class call (203) 254-0123 or email musicforyouthct@gmail.com.
