• Monroe officials celebrate the opening of Farmers Athletic Field at Wolfe Park (themonroesun.com) — Monroe residents now have a new Farmers Athletic Field at Wolfe Park, adding much-needed space for youth leagues, adult sports, and Masuk High School games. Town leaders and local soccer organizers say the project eases field shortages, lets other fields rest for maintenance, and opens more options for both sports and non-sport activities in a heavily used park.
   

• LivFree offers memorable moments to families touched by pediatric cancer (themonroesun.com) — Monroe's Rotary Club recently hosted LivFree, a nonprofit that creates joyful outings for families facing pediatric cancer and has already helped several Monroe families. Local Rotarians are exploring grant support while LivFree invites volunteers, donations, and participation in upcoming fundraisers, including a Fairfield golf tournament and a 10-year celebration this fall.
