• Danbury Man Accused Of Stealing More Than $1 Million From Homeowner: DCJ (patch.com) — An alleged long-running fraud scheme targeting a Monroe homeowner led to the arrest of a Danbury man accused of wrongfully obtaining more than $1.1 million, mostly for supposed home improvements. Investigators say the 988‑square‑foot house showed only minor cosmetic work despite massive invoices, and the suspect is being held on a $250,000 bond pending a court appearance.
