Post Prom Seeking Donations

With prom less than two months away, the Masuk Post Prom Committee needs support.

Every year, organizers work tirelessly to plan and implement a safe, fun and free event for students at Masuk immediately following the prom.  Research shows that alcohol-related car crashes are the number one killer of teens in the United States and teens are at the greatest risk of alcohol-related accidents after a high school prom.  This great event, which will be held on Friday, May 15th, was created to encourage students to make smart choices on prom night.

To make this event possible, the Post Prom Committee counts on financial support from the community.  Recently, letters requesting donations were sent to many local businesses who have supported the effort in the past as well as to the parents of all Masuk students.  Financial donations in any amount and donations of products or gift cards are welcomed and appreciated, according to Masuk Post Prom Chairperson, Dawn Barbierri.

“With your assistance, we can make our students’ prom a safe and wonderful night to remember,” Barbierri said.
