Update: Drivers Involved in Crash on Main Street in Monroe Extricated
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Update 12:35 p.m.:
The two people involved in the accident on Route 25 in Monroe were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, Chelsea Owen, 22, of Milford was traveling north on Route 25 at around 8 a.m. in a 2001 Toyota Scion when she crossed over the centerline for an unknown reason and collided with a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Luciana Falci, 41, of Danbury.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, police said. Both Owen and Falci had to be extricated from their vehicles due to structural damage that jammed the doors shut.
Owen was issued an infraction ticket for failure to drive in the proper lane.

Emergency responders are on scene of a crash in Monroe, the Connecticut Post reports.
According to the Post, at least one occupant is trapped inside and multiple vehicles are involved in the crash on 881 Main Street.
