St. Peter's in Monroe Invites Town for Blessings & Beer

St. Peter's Episcopal Church invites you to the Annual St. Francis Celebration & Blessing of Animals on Oct. 5 & 5th Beer Tasting on Oct. 18


St. Peter’s Annual St. Francis Celebration & Blessing of Animals will be held on the Monroe Green on Sunday, Oct. 5 after the 10:15 a.m. service. The church welcomes everyone to join them on the Monroe Green as they celebrate the life of St. Francis of Assisi, patrol Saint of animals. Bring your pets large or small for a blessing.

The church is also asking attendees to bring unopened/unexpired donations of adult dog and cat food, canned and dry, or dog and cat treats. All donated pet food will be given to the Monroe Food Pantry to help their patrons fill their pet’s bowls.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church would also like to announce their 5th Annual Beer Tasting at the church, Route 111 & Moose Hill Rd. in Monroe, on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at Glenro Spirit Shoppe, 87 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, or at the door. The tasting will include seven different beers and seven deliciously paired foods to go along with the tasting. This is a fundraiser of St. Peter’s Church. The Beer Tasting is facilitated by Glenro Spirit Shoppe.
