Tomorrow: St. Jude School to Host a Free S4 Study Skills Parent Workshop

St. Jude School to Host a Free Parent Workshop On How to Support Their Students' Study Practice

St. Jude School is proud to host a Successful Study Skills 4 Students workshop for parents, on what they can do to support their student’s study practice. This workshop, free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 6:30 pm.

Topics covered will include:

  • Key study principles
  • Goal setting
  • Time management
  • Note-taking
  • Active reading
  • Active listening
  • Question generation
  • Using graphic organizers
  • Summarization
  • Test preparation strategies

The Study Skills Parent Workshop will be held at St. Jude, 707 Monroe Tpke., Monroe, CT 06468. There is no charge for the program, but registration is recommended. Register at: http://www.s4studyskills.com/St-Jude-Parents.html

The program is specifically designed and customizable to dovetail with all school and student curriculum. To date, over 2,500 students have participated in the S4 program to learn invaluable skills for better classroom engagement, increased focus, better preparation for class, tests, and projects, resulting in increased confidence and more independent learning.
