Two Arrested in Connection with Burglaries in Monroe
According to police, the two men were also involved with burglaries in Trumbull, Bridgeport and Monroe.
Two Bridgeport men were arrested in connection with two burglaries in Monroe and other burglaries in Trumbull, Bridgeport and Monroe, police said.
According to police, Serveo Santiago Jr., 46 was arrested on Jan. 8 when forensic evidence connected him to a Dec. 17, 2014 residential burglary on Benedict Road in Monroe. During his booking, Santiago admitted to committing a burglary on Benedict Road in Monroe on Dec. 14, 2014 as well as other burglaries in Trumbull, Bridgeport and Fairfield, police said.
An investigation identified Enrique Soto, 51 as being Santiago’s driver during most of the burglaries, police said.

According to police, Soto would drop Santiago off at a residence and pick him back up after the burglary was completed.
Santiago was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree criminal mischief on June 15. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Soto was charged with second-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, second-degree conspiracy to commit criminal trespassing and third-degree conspiracy to commit criminal mischief on June 16. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Both Santiago and Soto were held at court for arraignment. They have both been incarcerated in the Bridgeport Correctional Institute since similar arrests back in January.
