MONROE, CT — The Town of Monroe is surveying residents and businesses regarding the extent of damage they suffered during the weekend storm.

Claimants are being directed to a state web link for their self-reporting. The online data collection process will determine where Federal Emergency Management Agency officials will direct teams and resources, First Selectman Terence Rooney wrote in a letter to the community.

"While there is no guarantee we will meet thresholds for federal assistance, we need to collectively do our part to make sure we capture all damages to determine eligibility under FEMA programs," Rooney said.
