After A Tragic Death, A College Fund for Daughters Created
Formerly of Montville, Traci Kiriakou, 31, died in a horrific and tragic accident. Her husband has created a GoFundMe for their daughters.

WESTERLY, RI - Traci Kiriakou was just 31 when she was tragically killed after a fall down a set of concrete steps in a North End barwhere she'd been with her husband and friends.
Born in New London and raised in Montville where she graduated high school in 2008, Traci Kiriakou, nΓ©e Riordan, was the mother of two very young daughters. Now, her husband John has created a GoFundMeas a college fund for their girls, Peyton and Charleigh.
"We are devastated to share that Traci passed away on Friday, November 8th. She was an amazing mother, wife, sister and friend loved by all," Kiriakou wrote on GoFundMe. " In lieu of flowers please consider helping Traci's daughters through this fundraiser dedicated to their schooling."

In her obituary, it's noted that she was "a caring mother and loving wife who brought fun and joy everywhere she went, a kind and gentle person and to all animals. Traci was a loving spirit and always the life of a party."
In the less than four days since it was created, the GoFundMe campaign for Peyton and Charleighhas raised $23,000 of its $1 goal.

"We are so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful woman and we mourn with you. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.," wrote one family who donated $500.
Many people have donated large sums of money. One family more than $1,000, saying that she was a "beautiful soul, great friend and mother. She will be greatly missed. We love you and are here if you and the girls need anything."

The messages to John Kiriakou, known as "Yanni," are at once heartbreaking and supportive.
"I'm so sorry for your loss John. I met Traci one time when you brought her to Mr. G's and she was so kind. My heart hurts for your family and your daughters. Stay strong."
