UNCASVILLE, CT — Mohegan Sun received several national honors recently, including four second-place finishes in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.
The Uncasville resort finished second for Best Casino Hotel, Best Casino Outside of Las Vegas and Best Casino for Slots. The Farm Italy at Mohegan Sun was the runner-up for Best Casino Restaurant.
Mohegan Sun also received recognition in the Best Players' Club category for its Momentum loyalty program.
Nominees for the awards are selected by a panel that includes editors from USA Today and 10Best.com and other contributors from Gannett properties. The categories are then opened to public voting for four weeks.
Mohegan Sun had won the Best Casino for Slots category in 2025, the first year the category was offered.
The resort's 10,000-seat arena also recently received another industry honor.
Mohegan Sun Arena was named Casino of the Year – Arena by the Academy of Country Music as part of the 61st ACM Awards. It was the ninth time the arena has received the ACM industry award.
The honor is voted on by ACM members, including artists, musicians, producers, talent buyers and promoters.
Mohegan Sun Arena hosts more than 100 concerts annually, according to the resort. The venue is also preparing for a major renovation. A $25 million project is planned following the Connecticut Sun's final season at the arena.
The work is expected to include improvements to seating, food and beverage services, flooring, lighting and entrance areas.
