Citizens Bank supports local food pantry at New London Ice Rink

This past February, Citizens Bank and New London Main Street sponsored Outskate Hunger, a new partnership at New London’s Rink at Parade Plaza. The program offered free skate rentals and ice time to any individual donating a non-perishable food item, resulting in more than 300 pounds of food collected for the Gemma Moran Food Center.

The Gemma Moran Food Center distributes more than two million pounds of donated, surplus food to nearly 100 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers and senior citizen programs in New London County each year.
