Murphy's Mad Dash for a Cure 5k

    Like far too many others in our community, Dr. Charles E. Murphy School has been greatly impacted by the devastating disease, cancer. Having experienced the loss of a dear colleague Traci Hart last year, we are determined to do our part toward finding a cure.

    On Saturday, May 18, 2013, teachers and staff members at Dr. Charles E. Murphy School will be hosting “Murphy’s Mad Dash for a Cure”, a 5k run to benefit the American Cancer Society.
    
    We hope you will join us as we move one stride closer toward finding a cure. Together, we will make a difference!

Race Information:

 What: 

• 5K Road race at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine, to benefit the American Cancer Society
  

Where:  

• Start and finish at:

    Dr. Charles E. Murphy School
    500 Chesterfield Road, Oakdale, CT 06370

Parking is available in Murphy School’s parking lot.
  
When: 

• Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.

• Race day Number pick-up is from 8:00-9:30 a.m.

• Race day registration is from 8:00-9:30 a.m.

Cost:     

• Pre-Registration: $20     
  
• Post-registration: $25 (after May 13th)

• Children 14 and under: $15

                            Additional shirts will be sold for $20 on race day. 


Amenities: All pre-registered runners will receive: 

• A Murphy’s Mad Dash t-shirt
  

• Water and restrooms available at check in
• Multiple water stations available on the course 
  

• Cheering stations positioned along the course to cheer you on!
  

• Computer chip scoring and results posted immediately after the race and onwww.thelastmileracing.com

• Post Race Party with food, drink, entertainment, and prizes.

Awards: 

• First overall male and female, and 1st through 3rd male and female in each age group (0-12, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
