New London, CT – The Citizens Bank Foundation recently awarded a $20,000 grant to the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness’ (CCEH) Shelter Heating Assistance Program. The program, administered by CCEH, is designed to help offset the rising cost of winter heating by allowing homeless shelters to free up operating dollars so that they continue providing critical services to those in need.
The grant was disbursed by CCEH to 29 shelters across the state including the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, which received more than $500 in shelter heating support.
