
The bones that were found Sunday off Oxoboxo Dam Road have been identified as belonging to Erika Cironi, a Norwich woman who vanished in 2006.
The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told reporters Wednesday that a positive identification had been made.
The Bulletin says that Norwich police detectives told Carol Cirioni, Erika's mother, that the identification had been made through dental records. Erika had two sons, Destin, who is now 10, and Brandon, now 15.
