Second I-95 Milford Plaza Expected to Reopen April 20

The I-95 Milford Southbound Service Plaza is slated to have its "soft opening" on April 20 with a ribbon cutting ceremony currently scheduled for May 2.

Interstate 95 will become even more traveler friendly when the Milford Southbound Service Plaza, just past exit 41, is slated to open on April 20.

Mike Modine, Director of Operations for Project Service, LLC, said the soft opening will precede a ribbon cutting ceremony which is currently expected to occur on May 2.

Project Service, LLC in cooperation with the Connecticut Department of Transportation is embarking on a project to renovate all 23 of the state’s aging service plazas.

Panda Express, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Carvel, and Cheeseboy: Grilled Cheese to Go will all open in that location; the first of their chains to open in a Connecticut service plaza.

Both facilities closed for renovations in December 2010 but the southbound plaza took longer to reopen since the former building was completely demolished.
