Feb. 22
At 10:01 p.m., Connecticut State Police responded to Interstate 395, ½ mile north of Exit 79 in Montville for a report of a couch that had fallen off the top of a car.
Frank Jiminez, 22, of 174 Coleman St., New London, was driving south on 395 when a couch fell off the top of the Chrysler Town Car he was driving.

Louise Ross, 62, of 529 North Madison Road, Guilford, was driving behind Jiminez and hit the couch. The front of her Mazda sustained damage. There were no injuries. At 6:29 p.m., a citizen called Connecticut State Police to report an erratic operator on Turner Road in Oakdale. Police stopped Brian Clancy, 49, of 17 Deer Run, Oakdale, and charged him with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, driving with a suspended license and failure to drive right. A cash bond of $1,000 was set, and he was given a March 18 court date.
At 11:08 a.m., police responded to Route 85 for a report of a three-vehicle accident.

Doreen Care, 67, of 1368 Route 85, Oakdale, was in the northbound lane, preparing to turn into a driveway.
James Abbott, 37, of 320 Shumankanuc Road, Charlestown, R.I., was traveling north behind Care’s vehicle, and stopped behind her.
The report says that Andre Dacosta, 39, of 11 Hayes St., Providence, R.I., failed to see that Abbott and Care had stopped. He hit the back of Abbott’s vehicle, which hit the back of Care’s. Dacosta was issued a ticket for following too close.
Feb. 23
At 7 p.m., Montville Town Police developed information that a large quantity of drugs was coming to Montville.
Assisted by the Norwich Police and Connecticut State Police, they located a vehicle at the Stop & Shop, and inside, found several pounds of marijuana and more than 200 Oxycodone pills, and a large amount of cash.
They arrested Joseph A. Timpone, 25, of 11 Platoz Drive, Uncasville, and Jason Catania, 25, of 355 C Mallory Ave., Staten Island, NY.
Timpone was charged with possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a surety bond of $25,000.
Catania was charged with possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was released on a surety bond of $25,000.
Court dates of March 10 were set for both men.
At 11:20 p.m., Montville Police arrested Theresa Stebbins, 52, of 19 Bristol St., New London, and charged her with failure to drive right, insurance coverage failing to meet minimum requirements, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was charged a $500 nonsurety bond, and a court date of March 8 was set.
The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on the Norwich-New London Turnpike.
At 2:28 p.m., Montville Police responded to a two-car accident at Route 85 and Turner Road.
Vehicles driven by Cheryl Ann Madden, 45, of 999 Holmes Road, Pittsfield, MA, and Leslie Garabedian, 18, of 54 Horn Road, Windham, collided. Madden complained of back and neck pain. The rear of her car was damaged, and the vehicle was towed by Shantok Motors. Garabedian did not report any injuries.
Feb. 25
At 1:28 a.m., Montville Police responded to Gallivan Lane in Montville, and arrested James Michael Marsh, 53, of 77 Lake Drive, Montville, and charged him with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, and driving with insurance coverage that fails to meet the minimum requirements. He was given a nonsurety bond of $250 and a Feb. 25 court date.
Feb. 26
At 1:20 a.m., Montville Police arrested Jason Scott, 32, of 22 Vermont Drive, Oakdale, and charged him with failure to grant the right of way at an intersection, driving a motor vehicle when his license is suspended, and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a nonsurety bond of $1,000 on the latter charge. The arrest was made on Route 32, after the vehicle was observed operating erratically. The report says that a strong odor of alcohol was detected coming from the breath of the operator, and he failed a field sobriety test.
Feb. 27
At 11:33 a.m., an active warrant was exercised on Karissa Girard, 21, of 161 Connecticut Blvd., Montville, for failure to appear, second degree. She was arrested at her home without incident, the report says.
At 1:54 a.m., Montville Police arrested Tammy S. Ruddock, 27, of 27 Turner Road, Oakdale, and charged her with failure to drive right, and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on Gov. John Davis Lodge Turnpike. She was charged a $500 nonsurety bond, and given a court date of March 15.
At 10:11 a.m., Connecticut State Police arrested Dylan J. Aguiar, 20, of 44 Kenyon Road, Waterford, and charged him with driving a motor vehicle when his license is suspended, and speeding. The report says he was going 82 in a 65-mph zone on Interstate 395 north in Montville.
Feb. 28
At 6:53 a.m., Montville Police responded to a collision of a passenger car and a school bus on Gallivan Road at Pollys Lane. A 2001 Ford Explorer driven by Jessica Goody, 28, of 53 Montauk Ave., New London, and a bus driven by Lisa Wilson, 47, of 64 Laurel Point Drive, Oakdale, collided. The rear of Goody’s vehicle was damaged; the bus was not damaged. No injuries were reported.
At 11:40 a.m., Montville Police responded to 121B Kitemaug Road, Uncasville, for a report of a domestic dispute. Eric P. Hart of 121B Kitemaug Road was reportedly armed when he fled the residence. He was located in Noank and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with criminal attempt of 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful restraint, unlawful threatening and breach of peace. He is being held on a $100,000 bond, pending a March 2 court date in Norwich.
At 2:58 a.m., Connecticut State Police arrested Douglas J. Myers Jr., 32, of 40 Sheldon Terrace, New Haven, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and possession of narcotics. He was stopped on Interstate 395 northbound, near Exit 78.
