Montville, State Police Report Arrests

Feb. 17

At 4:25 p.m., Connecticut State Police responded to Interstate 395, north of Exit 79A in Montville, for a three-vehicle accident.

A 2008 Chevrolet HHR, driven by Edward Koretski, 45, of 9 Kelly St., Pawcatuck, was traveling in the left lane, behind a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Daniel Ventura, 27, of 493 West Main St.,Norwich, the report says. Koretski’s and Ventura’s  vehicles collided, the report says, and Koretski’s spun out, facing north in the southbound lane, where it was hit by a World Wide Tours bus driven by Luis Santiago, 63, of Staten Island, NY. Koretski was taken by Mohegan ambulance to Backus Hospital; his vehicle was towed by Shantok Motors. The police report says Koretski’s injuries were “non-incapacitating.”

Feb. 18

At 10:30 a.m., Montville Police detectives extradited William P. Aldrich, 53, of 17 Federal St., Worcester, MA, “based on the strength of a warrant for an incident that occurred between January 2009 and May 2010,” the report says. The incident happened at 8 Enterprise Lane, Montville.

At 1:23 a.m., Montville Police arrested William A. Fitzgerald, 61 of 6 Upper Marina Drive, Uncasville, and charged him with failure to drive right and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. A $500 bond was set on the latter charge. The arrest came after Fitzgerald’s vehicle was said to be operating erratically, according to the police report. Fitzgerald failed a field sobriety test, the report says.

At a time not stated, Connecticut State Police arrested Michael Marr, 31, of 113 Ontrobondo Ave., Norwich, and charged him with evading, driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing a controlled substance. A $1,000 bond was set on the latter charge.

The report says Marr was driving south on I-395, and hit the guard rail, then continued driving, and got off at Exit 79. Police stopped him and made the arrest. A search revealed “a small amount of marijuana and a smoking pipe.” He was released Feb. 19

Feb. 21

At 2:42 p.m., Montville Police responded to the Stop & Shop on Route 32 in Uncasville, and arrested David Stoddard, 50, of 336 Fitchville Road, Bozrah. The report says the “accused made verbal threats to victim after road rage type incident at the Stop & Shop.”
