DUI Charges, Accidents, Warrant Arrests

June 16

At 10:59 p.m., Montville police arrested Marlandy E. Moore, 37, of 47 Haley Road, Uncasville, and charged her with failure to drive right and driving while under the infleuence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a June 28 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on Route 32.

June 19

At 12:04 a.m., Montville Police arrested Willie J. Belton, 45, of 142 High St. Baltic, and charged him with evading.

The arrest came in relation to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32, just south of Maple Ave. Belton's vehicle and a vehicle driven by Mitchell Nesselrode, 20, of 126 Lestertown Road, Groton, collided at the Maple Ave. location.

Belton was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, according to the report. There were no injuries in the collision.

June 20

At 10:23 p.m., Montville Police arrested Warren B. Dickinson, no age or address given, on an active failure to appear warrant. The arrest was made at 63 Hale Haven Court, Uncasville. Dickinson was assessed a $75,000 cash bond, and given a June 21 court date.

June 21

At 12:02 p.m., police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Raymond Hill Road at Fitch Hill.

Kenneth Petranek, 36, lost control of his motorcycle and slid into a metal beam guard rail. He was dragged northbound along with the motorcycle, the report says, for 200 feet until the motorcycle went up onto a curb on theopposite site of the road. It continued another 20 feet before coming to rest. Petranek was taken to Backus Hospital. His bike was towed.

The report says Petranek had a broken collar bone, and road rash on his left leg, right arm, right shoulder, both hands, his buttocks and his lower back.

June 23

At 2:55 a.m., Montville Police arrested Joan E. Campbell, 30, of 31 Litton Road, Groton, and charged her with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a July 5 court date. The arrest, at Route 32 and Maple Ave. ext., came after a reported motor vehicle accident, according to the police report.

June 24

At 1:01 a.m., Montville Police arrested Terrence Brennan, 52, of 8 Meetinghouse Lane, Oakdale, and charged him with failure to drive right and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a July 12 court date.

June 25

At 9:15 p.m., police arrested Gary T. Lamothe, 58, of 15 Massachusetts Road, Oakdale, and charged him with failure to drive right and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. No bond was charged, he was given a July 12 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on the Chesterfield Road.

At 3:47 a.m., police arrested William Ahearn, 68, of 191 Clematis Ave., Waterbury, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The report says that he was stopped at a Mohegan Sun Blvd. gas station. He was assessed a $500 bond and given a July 12 court date.

June 26

At 1:09 a.m., Montville Police arrested Jon David Smith, 36, of 82 Michigan Drive, Uncasville, and charged him with failure to drive Ruhr and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given July 12 court date. The arrest came on Route 32.
