State, Montville Police Make Arrests

March 2

At 1:20 p.m., Montville Police made a motor vehicle stop on Raymond Hill Road for a reported cell phone violation. They then arrested Joshua Ohren, 23, of 4 Birchwood Drive, Uncasville, on a charge of possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana. He was released on a nonsurety bond of $500, and given a March 17 court date in Norwich.

At an unstated time, Montville Police arrested Robert Kobelski, 53, of 481 Chesterfield Road, Oakdale, after a motor vehicle stop, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and illegal passing. He was assessed a nonsurety bond of $500, and given a March 22 court date in Norwich.

Connecticut State Police warn about people posing as utility workers to seek access to homes in the area. If someone comes to the door and identifies himself as a utility worker, ask for identification. If you are unsure, do not let the person in, and call the police.

At 11:22 a.m., Montville Police arrested Isabelle A. Rule, 68, of 81 Liberty Road, Oakdale, and charged her with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest was made while police were serving a felony warrant. She was released on a cash bond of $500, and given a court date of March 4 in Norwich.

At 9:30 a.m., police were called to Old Colchester Road in Oakdale, where they arrested a male youthful offender who was reportedly being verbally abusive in a public place. He was released on a nonsurety bond of $500, and given a March 16 court date.

At 1:59 a.m., Montville Police arrested Shane M. Clemons, 26, of 241 South Road, Bozrah, and charged him with criminal impersonation and operation of a motor vehicle when registration of license is refused or suspended. The report says that Clemons was stopped for a motor vehicle violation, at 1321 Route 32, and gave the name of someone other than himself.

March 4

At 8:08 a.m., Montville Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Route 163. They arrested Robert Porter, 41, of 267 Route 163, and charged him with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. A cash bond of $2,500 was assessed, and he was given a March 5 court date in Norwich.

At 12:58 a.m., Montville Police arrested Michael Buckley, 39, of 3 Crestview Drive, Uncasville, and charged him with failure to have tail lamps, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The arrest came after police stopped Buckley on Route 32 at Broadview Ave. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a March 22 court date.

March 5

At 11:59 p.m., Connecticut State Police arrested Michael W. Ezell, 59, of 25 Route 2A, Preston, and charged him with reckless driving greater than 85 mph, failure to drive in the proper land, and failure to drive at a reasonable distance. The arrest came on Interstate 395 northbound in Montville. He was given a court date of March 15.

At 2:15 a.m., Montville Police arrested Gregory Larochelle, 52, of Oakdale, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and traveling unreasonably fast/fast for conditions. The report says that Larochelle was seen operating erratically, and was pulled over at 5 Glen Craig Place. He failed a field sobriety test, the report says.

March 6

At 2:23 a.m., Connecticut State Police responded to the parking lot next to the Winter Parking garage at Mohegan Sun for a report of a disturbance in a motor vehicle. The trooper arrested Dean Catalano, 40, of 67 Spring St., Beacon, NY, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assess a $250 bond, and a March 22 court date.
