UNCASVILLE, CT — A player's $5 bet turned into a $1.77 million jackpot at Mohegan Sun.

The New York visitor won the life-changing sum on a March 10 trip to the resort casino.

The lucky payout was from an IGT Whitney Houston slot machine in the Casino of the Sky.

This marks the second Mohegan Sun jackpot exceeding $1.7 million in the last month.

In February, a Connecticut resident was playing a slot machine and won a jackpot worth close to $1.8 million.

At that time, casino officials said the prize marked the largest slot jackpot at Mohegan Sun since 2022, when a player won $3.8 million.
