McNally Will Leave BOE, Plans Run for Town Council

Thomas McNally, 37, who is a fixture at town meetings, a member of the Board of Education, member of the Public Safety Commission, Historical Steering Committee, Conservation Commission, RockTenn Advisory Council and other commissions and boards, has annouced he will no longer serve on the BOE rather, he'll make a run for a seat on the Town Council.  
Patch was recently told the suit is close to being settled, although that has not been confirmed by McNally or the Town.

McNally's statement issued to Patch:

"This November 2013, I will have completed nearly 8 years on the Montville Board of Education. During this time I have had the pleasure to meet many wonderful parents, students, teachers and administrators. I have greatly enjoyed being part of such a wonderful, caring board.

However, it is with heavy heart that I have decided rather than continue on the Board of Education, I will instead seek the Republican nomination for a spot on the Montville Town Council. I feel that with my experience, common sense bi-partisan approach, I can be of great help to the citizens of Montville.

I look forward to meeting with all Montville taxpayers over the next several months to discuss your goals and objectives as well as any concerns you may have.
