Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. At 9 p.m. Wednesday, Montville Police executed a search and seizure warrant at a home on Allen Drive snd seized drugs, paraphernalia, cash and a vehicle. Police arrested David Gardiner, 28, of 16C Allen Drive, and charged him with possession out of container, possession of drug paraphernalia, unauthorized manufacture or sale of marijuana, unauthorized sale or drugs within 1,500 feet of a school or daycare, and possession of a controlled substance. Police seized 2 ounces of suspected marijuana, $2,694 in cash, drug paraphernalia, drug equipment and a Ford Escort. Resident State Trooper Sgt. Michael Collins said this arrest is part of an ongoing effort to decrease drug activity in town. Connecticut State Police assisted.
