Montville Police and Connecticut State Police report the following incidents:
Jan. 8
At 7:42 a.m., Montville Police responded to a report of a verbal dispute at 1591 Route 32. They arrested Michele A. Sweeney-Lespier, 55, of the same address and charged her with criminal violation of a protective order.

Jan. 10
At 9:41 a.m., Montville Police responded to a two-car accident at 735 Old Colchester Road, Montville. Cars driven by Dustin A. Bennett, 21, of 38 Connecticut Blvd., Oakdale, and John J. Magee, 73, of 735 Old Colchester Road, collided. There were no injuries. Both vehicles were towed.

Jan. 11
At 10:11 p.m., Montville Police arrested Frederick Barberi, 51, of 61 Woodland Drive, Uncasville, and charged him with possessing drug paraphernalia and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The report says Barberi was in the parking lot of Dot’s Café when he was arrested. He was charged a $1,000 nonsurety bond, and has a court date of Jan. 27.
Jan. 12
At 6:3 a.m., police responded to a single-car accident on Route 82. A car driven by Valerie J. Orowson, 49, of 521Route 82, Oakdale, had gone out of control on a slick or ice and hit a SNET pole, according to the police report. The car was severely damaged, and Orowson reported minor injuries. The car was towed.
At 11:44 a.m., Connecticut State Police reported the arrest of Jakop Weigert-Gneiting, 21, whom the police report describes as a fugitive from justice. A $50,000 bond was assessed, and a court date of Jan. 13 set for Norwich.
Jan. 14
At 5:55 p.m. Montville Police stopped Ronald A. Barnes Jr., 51, of 29 Fellows Road, Oakdale, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and failure to drive right. The arrest came on Route 163 in Oakdale, following a motor vehicle stop.
At 8:29 a.m., Montville Police arrested Leonard L. Bermudez, 23, of 10 Forest Drive, Uncasville, and charged him with 2nd degree failure to appear. The arrest came at his home. He was charged a cash bond of $150.
At 1:41 a.m., Montville Police arrested Anthony Brennan, 59, of 3 Carolina Drive, Oakdale, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The arrest came after Brennan had been stopped for a motor vehicle violation. He was assessed a nonsurety bond of $500 and given a Jan. 25 court date. The arrest came on Route 163.
Jan. 15
At 2:10 a.m., Montville Police arrested Guy S. Wegiel, 37, of Mount Dora, FL, and charged him with failure to drive right, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The arrest came after Wegiel was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Golden Road.
Jan. 16
At 11:52 a.m., Connecticut State Police responded to a three-vehicle accident on Route 2 in Preston. Vehicles driven by Jonathan Sierra-Rodriguez, 21, of 115 Roath St., Norwich; Devon Hanson, 39, of 35 Hewitt Drive, Apt. 12, Uncasville; and Janet Collins, 55, of 36 Battista road, Manchester, were all traveling eastbound on Route 2 in Preston near Maynard Hill Road. According to the report, Sierra-Rodriguez’s vehicle slowed, and Hanson’s vehicle slowed, but Collins’s vehicle did not slow and skidded into Hanson’s, which, according to the report, was pushed into Sierra Rodriguez’s. Hanson was taken to Backus Hospital by ambulance for a complaint of back pain. Sierra-Rodriguez was cited for driving with a suspended license. Collins was cited for following too close. Hanson’s car was towed.
At 2:35 a.m., Montville Police arrested Ryan Henowitz, 27, of 27A Allen Drive, Uncasville, and charged him with failure to drive right, failure to have head lamps, and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The arrest came on Route 32. Henowitz was charged a $500 nonsurety bond and a Jan.25 court date was set.
