Montville Vigil to be Held in Response to Growing Number of Heroin Overdoses
Participants from any community are welcome, but are asked to bring a lighter or matches.

MONTVILLE, CT - A Groton-based nonprofit will be holding a vigil in Montville on Thursday in response to a large number of recent heroin overdose-related deaths, The Day reported.
The purpose of the vigil is to raise awareness of the pervasiveness of the opioid crisis, according to The Day. It is also hoped the vigil will erase the stigma of addiction and support families so that they know their loved ones mattered.
The vigil will be held at 6 p.m. at 601 Norwich-New London Turnpike (Route 32) in the parking lot of the now-closed Beit Brothers supermarket, The Day reported. Participants from any community are welcome, but are asked to bring a lighter or matches to light the candles.
