Police Issue Charges of Breach of Peace, Disorderly Conduct, Driving Without a License

The following arrest information was supplied by Connecticut State Police and Montville Police. It does not indicate convictions.

July 13

At 5:44 a.m., police arrested Matthew A. Sagen, 29, of North Windham, and charged him with reckless driving and driving a motorcycle without a license. No bond was assessed; he was released on a promise to appear, and given a July 26 court date.

At 3:16 p.m., Montville Police arrested Colby L. Kay, 29, of 15 McColley Place, Uncasville, and charged him with disorderly conduct. He was assessed a nonsurety bond of $500 and given a July 28 court date. The arrest came after Kay reportedly made comments to Citizen’s Bank staff that raised security concerns.

At 9:26 p.m., police arrested Cody Horton, 18, of 7 Glendale Road, Montville, and charged him with breach of peace. He was assessed a $500 surety bond and given a July 18 court date. The report says Horton attempted to destroy the front door of his parents’ house with a golf club.

July 16

At 9:32 p.m., police responded to an accident on Interstate 395 South. A 2007 Mercury Milan friven by James Gadon, 18, of 8 Otter Brook Drive, Old Saybrook, had collided with the metal beam guardrail in the media. A passenger, Nicole Palmer, 18, of 104 Nehantic Trail, Old Saybrook, was transported to Backus Hospital for minor injuries. The Mercury was towed. Gadon was issued a  infraction for violation of passenger restrictions for an operator 16-17 under six months, failure to drive in the proper lane, and traveling too fast for conditions.

At 7:30 p.m., Montville Police responded to a Leffingwell Road address, where they arrested Jeremiah James Hill, 34, of Leffingwell Road, and charged him with third-degree assault on a pregnant person, risk of injury and breach of peace. He was given a July 16 court date; no bond amount was listed.

July 17

At 6:25 p.m., Montville Police arrested Jason Allen Scott, 33, of 22 Vermont Drive, Oakdale, and charged him with injury or risk of injury/ impairing the morals of a child, and driving a motor vehicle when registration or license is suspended. He was assessed a $1,000 cash bond and given an Aug. 2 court date. The arrest came on the Old Colchester Road. The report says Scott was “stopped for having a 7-year-old on the back of his moped without a helmet while driving with a suspended license.”

At 1:35 p.m., Montville Police arrested Leonidas Lopez, 61, of 54 Pearl St., Waterbury, and charged him with operating an unregistered vehicle, misues of marker plates, and driving without insurance. He was assessed a $500 cash bond and given a July 26 court date. The arrest came on Route 2A in Uncasville.

July 18

At 4:40 a.m., Montville Police arrested Christina L. Straub, 28, of 25 Platoz Drive, Uncasbille, and charged her with third-degree assault/ intent to cause injury, disorderly conduct or fighting/ capable of causing injury, and injury or risk of injury / impairing the morals of a child. The report says Straub was involved in a physical altercation with her husband. No bond was set; she was given a July 18 court date.

Scott Straub, 33, of the same address, was arrested on the same charges, with the additional charge of third-degree strangulation. He was assessed a $2,500 bond on the disorderly conduct charge and given a July 18 court date.
