Police Report Arrest on Sex Assault Charges

On March 7, police arrested Michael Penardo, 66, of 2181 Route 32, Uncasville, and charged him with fourth-degree sexual assault.

The arrest came on a court-issued warrant after investigation of a complaint alleging that Penardo had had unwanted sexual contact with a 17-year-old male juvenile.

Feb. 10

At 12:26 a.m., Montville Police arrested Justin Allen, 22, 11 Comstock Ave., Uncasville, on a Feb. 6 court-issued warrant charging him with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call. He was assessed a $10,000 court-set bond and given a Feb. 13 court date.  

March 4

At 8:45 p.m., police arrested Gerald R. Young, 20, of no known address, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance: narcotics, and use of drug paraphernalia. He was assessed a $500 surety bond. The arrest came after a traffic stop, “due to the fact that he had two outstanding warrants,” the report says. He assessed a $5,000 surety bond on a violation of probation/conditional discharge warrant, and a $115 cash bond on a failure to appear warrant. March 5 court dates were given for all charges.

March 5

At 9:56 a.m., Patrick Macgilvary, 18, of 187 Hartford Turnpike, Tolland, turned himself in on an active arrest warrant for an alleged act of criminal mischief at Mohegan Sun Casino Feb. 7. He was assessed a $1,000 cash bond and given a March 22 court date.

At 2:58 a.m., Montville Police arrested Bradley A. Keene, 45, of 123 Pollys Lane, Uncasville, and charged him with failure to drive right and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond on the latter charge and given a March 20 court date. The arrest came on Dell Drive, when, according to the report, Keene was said to have been seen driving erratically.

March 7

At 9:56 p.m., police arrested Oswald Pereira, 55, of 92 Sweetfield Circle, Yonkers, NY, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and failure to maintain lane. He was assessed an unspecified cash surety bond and given a March 20 court date. The arrest came after Troop E received a report of a motor vehicle being operated erratically. Pereira was arrested on Interstate 395 south.

March 8

At 1:15 a.m., Montville Police arrested Charles Z. Dugas, 25, of 5215 Cedar Ave., Philadelphia, and charged him with failure to drive right and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 cash bond and given a March 27 court date. The arrest came at 836 Route 32.
