While the three are facing myriad felony charges that could land them in prison for years should they be convicted on all charges, Greer said that they have been cooperative, candid in fact about their crimes. Greer said the men claim they set out to "rob drug dealers" but in the case of the Ledyard home invasion, Greer said, "they got the wrong house."
"They said, 'we didn't steal money. We stole drugs,'" Greer said. "They said the reason we're hitting drug dealers is (that) they're not going to call police.'"
In fact, the Sunny Hill Drive house the three men allegedly invaded and robbed, may in fact have been home to a drug dealer.
"We now believe that kid was dealing drugs and was lying to us," Greer said.
In the Sunny Hill Drive home invasion, the men allegedly entered the apartment at 6 a.m. armed with knives.
In the Marla Drive home invasion, they allegedly enerted the home armed with handguns and allegedly stole cash and jewlery.
