At 12:20 p.m. on May 2, police responded to Interstate 395 south of Exit 79A. The inner left tire of a truck from American Pavement Specialties had blown out, and debris had hit the 2010 Prius behind it. That car was driven by John Paskewich, 62, of11 Looking Glass Court, Uncasville. The American Pavement truck was driven by Jeffrey Silvino Lima, 24, of Danbury. There were no injuries.
Twenty minutes later, an accident south of Exit 79A was blamed on debris from this incident.
A 2008 Chevy Malibu driven by Tina Fijal, 37, of 144 West Main St., Baltic, and a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Karen Argeris, 29, of 27 Parkwoods Drive, Norwich, collided. The report says that Fijal’s car stopped suddenly because of debris.

At 11:53 p.m., Montville Police arrested Jessica M. Rovira, 21, of 28 Twin Lakes Drive, Waterford, and charged her with driving a motor vehicle when registration or license is refused or suspended, failure to drive right and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond on the latter charge and given a court date of May 10. The arrest was made after a motor vehicle stop on Route 32.
April 29
At 1:13 p.m., Montville Police arrested John Coggeshall, 22, of 844 Raymond Hill Road, Montville, and charged him with violating a protective order, fifth-degree larceny, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was assessed a $10,000 cash bond and transferred to the Department of Correction, with a May 2 court date.
Also arrested was Conor Dougherty, 22, of 148 Cottonwood Lane, Montville, who was charged with possession of marijuana and sale of marijuana. He was assessed a $5,000 nonsurety bond and given a court date of May 19.
At 8:28 p.m., Montville Police arrested Drew Kenneth Barker, 46, of 371 Chapel Hill Road, Oakdale, and charged him with driving or towing an unregistered motor vehicle, insureance coverage failing the minimum requirements, driving with a suspended license and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $1,000 nonsurety bond on the final charge, and given a May 17 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on Route 163.
April 30
At 2:22 a.m., Montville Police arrested Richard Charles Avery, 47, of 19 John St., Norwich, and charged him with failure to drive in the proper land, driving without a license and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond on the latter charge, and given a May 17 court date. The arrest came on John Davis Lodge Turnpike after a motor vehicle stop.
At 9:40 p.m., Connecticut State Police arrested Amy L. Pachesa, 42, of 568 route 163, Montville, and charged her with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was assessed a nonsurety bond of $500 and given a May 17 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on Route 163.
May 4
At 5:45 p.m., police arrested Jessica Ortiz, 20, of 187 Broad St., Norwich, and charged her with assault in the third degree and breach of peace. She was assessed a $2,500 surety bond and given a court date of May 12 in Norwich. She was arrested on an active warrant and was located by Norwich Police.
May 5
At 6:47 p.m., police responded to Interstate 395 North, near Exit 78, for a one-vehicle accident. Timothy Kormos, 53, was trying to pass a vehicle, the report says, when he lost control of his 1985 Toyota 4Runner. He was taken to Backus Hospital and later flown by LifeStar to Providence. His vehicle was towed.
At 1:17 a.m., Montville Police arrested Lynn Marie Yering, 42, of 4 Traders Court, Norwich, and charged her with failure to drive right, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a court date of May 17. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on Route 32.
